No short course is complete without the right schedule and range of activities. Group activities are included in the itinerary and optional activities are available during the students’ free days.
Phi Beta Euro works with Universities to schedule any and all of the following to achieve the right blend of activities:
• cultural tours
• historical sites
• theatrical performances
• art museums
• adventure activities
• community programs
• optional excursions
The activities are scheduled and designed to enhance the travel experience and the learning process. We also help to determine which events the University and faculty would like to see included for the entire group, and which activities should be optional for purchase by students who elect to take part in other activities.
The following is a list of possible included excursions:
• the London Eye with views over London
• traditional tapas in Barcelona
• hike through Transylvania, visiting Dracula's Castle
• Scottish Country Dancing in Edinburgh
• the EU Headquarters in Brussels
• a diamond cutter in Antwerp
• tour of Lindt Chocolate in Switzerland
• the Louvre, Musee D'Orsay and the Orangerie in Paris
• Anne Frank's house in Amsterdam
• vineyard farmhouse in the rolling hills of Tuscany
• exploring the Salt Mines in Berchtesgaden
• Mad King Ludwig's Neuschwanstein castle, the inspiration for Disney
• cruise down the Rhine River in Germany
Optional activities will also be made available as the itinerary is fully developed. During periods of free time on the itinerary, Phi Beta Euro arranges for tour operators to offer optional excursion packages to students and faculty for individual purchase. Everything from a day of horseback riding in the country to a tandem skydive from 15,000 feet can be offered as optional extras.
